Leah Light, Au.D.
Dr. Leah Light is the creator of the BrainWoRx program and the founder and CEO of Now I Get It, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing services for children who exhibit a range of developmental disorders. In addition, she is the owner and director of the Brainchild Institute in Hollywood, Florida.
She completed her B.A. in Special Education, her M.S. in Audiology and her doctorate degree in Audiology, as well. She is certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a member of ASHA as well as the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the Florida Speech-Language and Hearing Association (FLASHA) and the Florida Academy of Audiology (FLAA).
Dr. Light has extensive clinical expertise, having worked with all facets of hearing impairment and with people of all ages, from nursing homes to NICUs. Her primary focus over the past 16 years has been the diagnosis and management of Auditory Processing Disorders (APD), especially as they impact learning, social and emotional development in children. She has written related articles that have been published in both South Florida Parenting magazine and Today’s Parent.
Dr. Light frequently lectures on the topic of APD and the importance of primary reflex integration for development. She is dedicated to the achievement of human potential and strives to create new test methods, products and interventions to enhance auditory and sensory processing skills that are critical for academic and social development.
